The Nuba tribe from the Omo Valley lives in one of the most desolate and inaccessible areas of Sudan. To protect themselves from the bright African sun they cover their bodies with mud. As a result of the reflection of the sun their skin emits a special orange glow that they are so well known for. This colour served as an inspirational source for the 'Sahara Shimmer Nubian Sunset' (Spring 2013 marlies|dekkers)
